How It All Began

I've been singing for most of my life - the usual school and church choirs. Not a day goes by that I don't sing. My family is very musical. Songs are an important part of our lives. Though I had heard of karaoke for years, I had never tried it. It just never occurred to me. Then, one day about 2 years ago, my brother AJ suggested we go to this Mexican place (Enrique's: http://www.yelp.com/biz/enriques-mexican-restaurant-inc-thousand-oaks ) which had a karaoke kiosk. I had so much fun, and I didn't want to stop. It was a blast. Suddenly a karaoke addict was born.

In Silicon Valley where I live, I began to search for places to go karaoke. I was surprised to learn that there are more than 50 locations where you can go karaoke in the Southbay. (More on that later) Yes, folks, you can karaoke every night of the week, and at more than one place too! Needless to say, I became hooked. I've been in more bars and night clubs than any alcoholic and I'm loving every minute. I've met some great people doing karaoke all of whom share the same love of song that I do.

Hello and welcome to the very first post on my very first blog dedicated to my great love of karaoke. This blog will explore all things related to karaoke, singing and America's great of love of music. A life without song is a silent stillness in the soul. If you love music as much as I do, you find it hard to go a day without singing, much less music-less. Karaoke is the perfect way to vent your feelings, share a message, or just get lost in the moment.
